Some are funny, some are angry, some are observations of the modern world, many are very sad, and of course, a very large number of them are about love! I missed some memories in my past But i hope this emotion of mine will last Missing my whole family maybe turn into crying And it makes me feel that my heart is dying. I missed the time when i'm not all alone I mean when my family were all in home When we eat together it was so nice and fun 'cause we talked and laughed together as long as we can. But as years passed by they've gone one by one 'cause they met their own lovely wife and husband I felt like it was all just a dream My life started to change 'cause i'm not with them. Now i'm gonna look for a kind and good partner So that i won't feel that i was just a dreamer For me, being alone is not easy to bear I'm gonna find my adventure starting from here. Concrete Poems are a must-have!!! | Teen Ink
Despite gallant efforts of classroom teachers to prolong their existence, there comes a point in the life of every classroom library book when it is finally time to say goodbye. Where do good books go to live out their final days? Once their covers are torn, entire chapters are missing, and who-knows-what is stuck between the pages, create blackout poems to repurpose and honor the memory of old, worn-out books. Stacy Antoville, an amazing middle school art teacher in New York City, first introduced me to blackout poetry. Using the pages of an existing text, blackout poets isolate then piece together single words or short phrases from these texts to create lyrical masterpieces.
The little things are what make teenage love so special. Things like hanging out at the mall, wandering around with no place to be, listening to music together, and texting each other all night, so late that you fall asleep with your phone in your hand and can barely stay awake in class the next day. It's the thrill and uncertainty that comes with not knowing how long your relationship will last or if it is really true love. Teenage love is beautiful and risky.
